Let us compare and contrast Islam and Hinduism.

Islam is one of the major world religions.

It is based on the revelations of Muhammad (its recognized last prophet) and was first established in Mecca (now in Saudi Arabia).

Hinduism, on the other hand, pertains to the major world religion arising from the Indian subcontinent.

It consists of numerous and varied systems of philosophy, belief, and ritual.

The following is a simple comparison between Islam and Hinduism:

3. All Muslims belong to one community, the ‘umma’ regardless of their ethnic or national background. Is it also the case with Hinduism? Why or why not do you think so?
